Free event Macclesfield Riverside Park
Join us at Riverside Park in Macclesfield and help us repair the riverbank!
We will be working in partnership with the Bollin Valley Partnership Rangers at Riverside Park, Macclesfield to reinforce and repair the banks of the River Bollin. Led by ranger Jim, join us to learn new skills and enjoy some time outdoors at a wonderful local park.

The session is outdoors so make sure you have waterproofs and sun protection as needed. Bring lunch and plenty of snacks and water to keep you going. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear. Long trousers and long sleeves are advised to protect your arms and legs from vegetation.
Tools and full training will be provided. Bring your own work gloves if you have them (we will have a small number available to borrow if you don't have your own).

We will be continuing our work to improve the area around the River Irk at Harpurhey Ponds and Lower Crumpsall Recreation Ground, including vegetation management, footpath maintenance and litter picking.

Please dress for the weather conditions and wear strong footwear. Gloves and litter pickers provided.

Birch control work party at Lindow Common
We will be working in partnership with the Bollin Valley Partnership Rangers at Lindow Common to remove self-seeded birch from the SSSI designated heathland habitat. Work will include use of hand tools such as loppers and saws. Equipment and training will be provided.
This work party will run from 10am-3pm and we will be meeting at Lindow Common Car Park.
Bring lunch and your own work gloves if you have them, and please wear suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear (steel toe caps if you have them). Long trousers, long sleeves, and warm layers are recommended!
The session is outdoors so make sure you have waterproofs and sun protection as needed. Please also make sure you bring enough water and food to keep you going throughout the day.
