The Mersey Rivers Trust are looking for volunteers to help build ‘Leaky Dams’ at Borsdane Wood on Friday 28th Feb. Leaky Dams are a Natural Flood Management (NFM) technique where willow is weaved between wooden posts to create a barrier to hold back water and help reduce flooding downstream.
We will be there from 10:30am until 3pm. Any time you can spare would be really appreciated. Meet at the tunnel entrance. All tools and PPE (gloves, hi-viz vests & safety glasses) are provided.
